Rabbi Mark Glickman (Congregation Kol Shalom and Congregation Kol Ami), Reverend Earl Palmer (University Presbyterian Church) and Hisham Farajallah (President of the Islamic Center of Washington) discuss the imponderables that cause us to either lose or deepen our faith in God.

  1. Jacob wrestled with God with his questions until he was "injured" – how far do we go in wrestling with God?

  2. I was struck by the Cleric's comments about the challenge of culture mixing with our religions – that seems common to the 3 great faiths represented. What do these 3 leaders see as the greatest challenges from the culture around their congregations and the larger world?

  3. For Earl- Do you believe all death is against God's will?

  4. For Hisham – If angels behave with perfection, how were 1/3 swept away with Satan?

  5. How do we break the cycle of hate and retribution? What should our faith communities do? What can we do as individuals?
