I&#039;m writing a collection of personal pieces in tandem with painting a series of images on the theme of purgatory, with the intention of &#039;restoring beauty to all that is broken&#039; or has been broken, in my life, a kind of memoir. The connection between my brokenness at the foot of the cross, art&#039;s purpose and the awakening of empathy is the glue I need to reunite the pieces.
